Phobos

Phobos is the larger moon of Mars, the next planet further from the sun than is the Earth.

If you can entertain the possibility that this solar system has been visited in prehistory, maybe billions of years in the past, then this moon is most likely an automated weapon that obliterated or prevented life on Mars.

This is a NASA 'high resolution' image.  The HiRise color photos are clearer but this is good enough for initial inspection.

Discover magazine provides the current thinking, from NASA, that the planetoid is a pile of gravel that was an asteroid now captured into a retrograde orbit.  Scientists may not want to admit that it is a planet destroying weapon but they are aware that it is unnatural ( or they were nepotistic hires ) but almost all space scientists work in universities or NASA and are politicized.  These government scientists are told to lie for the good of the public (so 'we' don't freak out and disrupt the tax collections).

It is because government scientists are entirely politicalized recently that the public sector desperately needs to get into space - and most government scientists have no problem with it.

Picture of Phobos did not show In this image the Stickney crater is pointed upward (to the lower right on the previous picture) and the scientists agree that it was formed by a meteor strike.  An average meteor strikes at 100 thousand mph!  You don't have to be a renowned egghead to know what a wallop a rock nearly 4 miles wide going at that speed would do to a pile of gravel.  That is the explanation everywhere and it is a lie, whenever someone with credentials repeats that mantra they are lying to you.

Maybe it is hollow metal as fits the unacceptable explanations.  In that case it may have survived such an impact and many of the smaller ones incurring dents however such an impact would have wiped an Earth city - the more likely scenario is that it was built that way.

Stickney crater is likely a thrust chamber or a projector.  There are many reports of large yet insubstantial craft above the surface of Mars and Earth too.  Maybe they are projections from unmanned and ancient yet still active machinery?  Interstellar craft in science fiction often travel using an ongoing series of atomic blasts at one end of a craft to propel it forward as it takes a lot of power to move something so large.  That would induce some stress lines into the metal!

Aside from the density of Phobos being only one third that of the density of Earth  there is a problem with the orbit.  In the same Wiki article the possible origins are detailed.  Retrograde means opposite of the spin of the planet so it couldn't have been formed from the same mass as Mars so it was flown in or is a captured asteroid.  Phobos circles perfectly in the equatorial plane of the planet, circling at the equator once every six hours and as close to the planet as possible.  But captured moons are captured in the solar system plane which is many degrees off of the tilted planetary plane and largely prone to eccentric orbits - a defining system that would correct both differences has not been imagined.

What Phobos does have is a perfect orbit to view the entire planet as often as possible.  If it were to detect something it was programmed to view as offensive maybe the Stickney crater projected a lethal solution either kinetic or energetic? The crater is always 'pointed' at the planet. The surface of Phobos looks more strafed than peppered with Mars ejectus.  What are those lines?  Lines aren't natural and with gravity of 1/1000th that of Earth there would be no walking or dragging.

Don't screw with Phobos!  You have to look at these things objectively and it appears to be a weapon and an active one at that ( see below ).  You can't just say, incredulously, 'That can't be!' and mess around as if it wasn't there.  Granted it seems to be 2.4 billion years old and seems to have no interest in Earth but be careful!

The Russians were the first to declare the moon 'An Unnatural Object' and withstood the ridicule.  They sent three missions directly to that object and all three ceased to operate as soon as they aligned themselves for impact with it, with Phobos.

Russian Phobos 1 and 2 go

Russian Phobos Grunt go

European ESA Phobos go

American NASA Phobos go

We ( earthlings ) are nearly to the point where we can ask a robot to construct a ship and turn a few asteroids into a few moons or bigger ships.  Why not?  There is unlimited energy and raw materials in space and robotics and AI technology is increasing daily.  Bon Voyage!
